The Copper Mine, which is a joint venture between the Kneecons and a company called Kennecotco, was originally slated to open in 2019 but has been delayed to 2021.
But with approval from the state’s Department of Natural Resources, Kenneclos Copper Project is now scheduled to begin production in 2021, as originally planned.
In a statement to the Mercury News, Kneemans chairman and CEO Doug Kennecott said that the company’s first product will be a copper-based copper alloy called “Nash” which is “designed for use in applications where high temperature conductivity and high conductivity are needed.”
The copper alloy, according to the company, is a more durable and corrosion-resistant copper alloy that is “better for the environment and the environment’s health.”
Kennecopec also announced a new line of copper-nickel solder products that it says will be used for copper-to-nickels, or copper-gold solder, for copper wire.
The company’s copper-lead solder is also expected to be sold at retail.
The copper-tin solder is designed for use with copper wire, and is made from copper and tin, which has a low melting point, according the company.
